President Duterte’s allies in the Lower House rallied to his side as his war on drugs is being investigated by a commission of the US Congress.

Ako Bicol Party List Rep. Rodel Batocabe said, “It is their right to speak  for or against any person in this planet inasmuch as we  have the same right too. They also have all the right to protest  president duterte’s visit inasmuch as anyone of us can also protest trump’s visit to the philippines. But at the end of the day, what matters only is the opinion of the Filipino people of their own president. And the same also goes true with trump and the american people.”

PBA Party List Rep. Jericho Nograles said, “We respectfully remind Rep. McGovern and Rep. Speiers of the Tydings-McDuffie Act of 1934 which is still in force. They should respect Philippine Independence and recognize our sovereignty. We would also like them to read Hare-Hawes-Cutting Act as well the the Philippine Organic Act. I hope they can talk about their own problems and not meddle in our affairs.”
